Working with the City of Atlanta, Invest Atlanta and CIM Group are partnering to develop the area formerly known as the Gulch in Downtown Atlanta, representing a public-private partnership that will create a world-class destination and spur significant economic growth for the city.
The vision for Centennial Yards includes the transformation of downtown rail lines and parking lots into a bustling, mixed-use, 50-acre development adjacent to State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This expansive city attraction will feature high-end restaurants and retail, entertainment, 5-star hotels, innovative workplaces for businesses of all sizes and thousands of residential units.
Once complete, Centennial Yards will boast 900,000 square feet of retail space, 2.8 million square feet of residential housing (including more than 200 affordable units), 1.7 million square feet of hospitality venues, along with a 300,000 square foot Data Center and 6,000 parking stalls.
Centennial Yards is situated at the crossroads of Georgia’s transportation system, 20 minutes from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 10 minutes from Midtown Atlanta. MARTA lines converge at Centennial Yards, along with easy access to the Atlanta BeltLine – the 22-mile loop of trails, transit and parks connecting 45 intown neighborhoods.
At its June 2024 meeting, the Invest Atlanta Board of Directors approved the monetization of previously issued bonds to help accelerate the development of Centennial Yards and further the City of Atlanta’s development goals for Downtown Atlanta and the adjacent Westside Tax Allocation District neighborhoods.
